Youth Leadership Academy

Mission Statement: To guide young men in establishing a clear and realistic understanding of adulthood, by providing a snapshot of what real manhood looks like.

 

Goals: Succeed in Life, Mature as a Man, Believe in One, Another, Do Interesting Things, Commitment, Grow to become a Mentor, Be a Leader at your School and in the Community, Finish the Program Stronger than You Started, Accountability, and Express your Feelings.

 

Program Overview: The High Aspirations Foundation, Inc., Youth Development Academy is a community focused education program, offering structured leadership training for young men ages 11 to 14 years old. The primary mission of the program is to guide young men in establishing a clear and realistic understanding of adulthood, by providing a snapshot of what real manhood looks like.

 
The program further seeks to help the young men develop a sense of self-worth and pride.  The program is offered by the High Aspirations Foundation, Inc. (HAFI) free of charge.

Committee Chair

The Youth Development Academy is divided into four development modules to address different life skills or enrichment
activities.  Each module is made up of members of HAFI and experts in the respected fields.  The four development modules
are:

 

Intellectual Development – Education, Career, Financial Literacy

Personal Development – Character, Integrity, Self-Awareness

Physical Development – Health, Nutrition, Hygiene, Fitness

Social Development – Arts and Cultural, Social
